 Jegas, LLC- Virtually Everything IT!TM

Jegas, LLC is undergoing a major systems infrastructure overhaul.

Operating systems, hardware, development focus and even our strategies are just some of the things that are changing.

We have five major development efforts underway and we are narrowing our focus so that we can excel at what it is we do best: systems!

Our early adopter program for the "Accounting Integration - vTigerCRM and Quickbooks" has been picking up momentum from a funding perspective, and development efforts and internal investments have been matching them 50/50! We hoped to have a beta released by now, however we are staying the course!

Our 3D graphics team is creating a new graphics engine for Windows' DirectX 9,10,11 platforms while simultaneously building a simulation environment SDK for both industrial and entertainment applications: Simulation software and games!

We have two projects of breadth for clients in the making: one is a complete telemarketing system and the other is related to CRM data migration and is helping the vTigerCRM and Quickbooks initiative development efforts indirectly.

Lastly, the Jegas Application Server is starting to gain breadth in the number of technologies it can bring together, unfettering vendor lockin and the pain of owning disparate technologies that need to communicate with each other.

So, bear with our appearance, and temporary sluggishness... we are much busier than it seems!

Jegas, LLC (pronounced like Las VEGAS ) is a full service solution provider implementing innovative, platform independent computer solutions for businesses large and small.  We have extensive experience installing and customizing CRM systems (both commercial and open source) and data management software.  Jegas, LLC maintains a talented team of IT specialists, Software Developers, Graphic Designers and Computer Technicians to meet all of your IT needs.

Jegas, LLC officially opened its doors in 2006, but its story begins several years earlier. After years of working with existing software systems which were designed to become dated as soon as they were completed, Jason decided that his customers needed an innovative software system which was fast, flexible and easy to upgrade. As there was nothing out there which matched his vision, he began writing the Jegas Application Server and Jegas, LLC was born. Today we work with companies both large and small to help them manage their customers, products and workflows to increase revenues. The Jegas philosophy is simple: Write good solid software that performs; not flashy software that doesn't.

more about Jason...

I began programming when I was 10 years old on a Timex Sinclair with 2k of memory and a cassette recorder. In the summer of 1982 at age 11, I won "Most Dedicated to Programming" at a computer camp run on the American School for the Deaf campus in Hartford.

As an adult, I've developed a career as a consultant working for companies like General Electric, Aetna, Aetna Bermuda, ESPN, Mass. Mutual, Physicians Health Services, United Natural Foods, Inc., Pratt and Whitney and others. I was also a key programmer in a joint venture in 1998 involving the GAO, Aetna, Mutual of Omaha and the FBI. Their goal was to write a system specifically designed to search the Medi-Care claims databases for "anomalies" or "red flags" that suggested evidence of fraud and abuse. The system needed to find and show evidence that could lead to arrests and prosecution. Many arrests were made as a result of this system during the project and it is likely still working today.

In 2000, during the scramble over Y2K, I worked as a programmer for United Natural Foods. I watched as they paid several million dollars to a company which specialized in warehouse management software. This company had promised to write a system which would halt the ongoing loss of product due to the Y2K bug. After five months and nothing to show but a new HP/UX server, tensions were running high, and food was stagnating in storage. In a meeting with the head of the IT department, I convinced them to give me 30 days free of interference to create a system myself. In those 30 days I created a warehousing system that subsequently ran the entire east coast distribution, complete with Symbol brand scanning equipment support for the fork lifts, pickers' wrist units, and hand scanners. United Natural Foods was still using that system as of Nov, 2006 (confirmed).

More recently, I have been specializing in supporting and customizing leading brands of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software both as an employee and as a consultant. My frustration with the available systems and the problems they caused for my customers inspired me to write the Jegas Application Server and explore the vast potential of open-source applications such as vTiger CRM and OpenCRX. Through that endeavor, I have been able to bring the benefits of a fully featured, customizable CRM system to my customers without the painfully high up-front cost of commercial CRMs.

"In my experience as a programming enthusiast and a professional consultant, there are two fundamental truths: technology is always changing and people just want it to work right!"

more about Springli...

I spent my youth snuggled up with a succession of books, a habit which led me naturally to a BA in English from Central Connecticut State University in 1997. At that time, there was an apparent glut of English majors hitting the job market, so I spent several years in retail sales before moving into insurance. After 8 years in the industry, working first as a service/sales rep and then spending 4 years as a liability adjuster, I decided to change focus. I'm proud that I have been part of Jegas, LLC since it's inception, handling the business side of things while Jason does the coding. I am a compulsive editor & re-writer, a talent which is put to good use when putting together copy for websites.  When I am not working for Jegas. LLC, I am a busy mom and a part time student at CCSU, working towards my Master's Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy.

I am excited to be part of the Jegas sales & development team. I spent 7 years as an IT Analyst with the Poloroid Corporation, first in their corporate Desktop group & then in their Global Networking Group. We were constantly working on team projects such as new PBX systems or installing and setting up Cisco routers and switches. I obtained my Microsoft Certification (MCSA) in 2007, as well attaining A+, Network Plus and Microsoft Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) certifications. I feel that a key component of working in any IT Group is making sure that networking and computer problems do not impact our customer's business or our own. I live and work in Massachusetts with my wife & two daughters. I am also a certified instructor of Shoto-Kan Karate and Yoga.

more about Dominique...

I knew right before high school started which career path I wanted to take; graphic design. I've always taken an interest in photography and editing and chose to pursue those interests at Central Connecticut State University, where I obtained a BA in Graphic/Information Design in December 2008. I'm happy to be a part of Jegas, LLC and hope to bring a lot to everyone there. On my down time from design, my primary interests are in cars and motorcycles, which I've been interested in for many years. I love working with them, the excitement they bring, and learning more about them every day.
