postheadericon Abobe Flash In Linux with FireFox

Hello - I presume you found this page searching

..for an easy answer to this.

Ok, you have a 32bit Linux... Slackware? Ubuntu? CentOS5 maybe CentOS6? Maybe Even Puppy Linux?

Well.. when you open firefox and are greeted with DOWNLOAD ADOBE FLASH, and you click on the link to Adobe, you get a drop down box to select what you want.

Download the TAR.GZ format. Open it up with your unarchiving software or run from a prompt: tar -xzf install_flash_player_11_linux.i386.tar.gz

Your filename might vary

Now enter the freshly untarred and zipped files... and JUST copy libflashplayer.so to /usr/mozilla/plugins/

Now refresh the webpage. You might need to restart your browser but I didn't.

Now go have fun Watching Videos and playing games or whatever!
