It's official - Bloggers MUST disclose Payments for Reviewing Products in the USA

The word is getting out without question. I just wanted to share this in case you haven't heard about this before stumbling onto it here.

"The Federal Trade Commission has ruled that bloggers must clearly disclose any gifts or payments they receive from companies for reviewing the companies' products. It is the first time since 1980 that the commission has revised its guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, and the first time the rules have covered bloggers. The FTC said its commissioners voted 4-0 to approve the final guidelines; penalties include up to $11,000 in fines per violation. The rules take effect Dec. 1. 2009" - Faulkner's Cyberscape Digest

So - Faulkner's alerted me to the latest - now we're just passing it along for your convenience.
